With our team of experienced dentists and dental hygienists, you can be assured that you’re in safe hands.

Our strength is three-fold…

A strong focus on quality general dental care and treatments.

In combination we provide specialist areas of cosmetic dentistry, dental surgery and implants.

Plus, ensuring our patients have excellent oral health and hygiene, with our fully qualified dental hygienists.

Making your first visit with us easy and relaxed.

At Smile Design we embrace the latest in dental technology. This includes our general dental and cosmetic dentistry procedures done with or without sedation.

Switching to us is easy and stress free. It begins with you making a quick phone call, to book in your initial consultation. During your first consult, we will discuss your treatment and care options, and answer any questions you may have, e.g. likely costs, proposed treatments and timeframes.

Where possible, we will arrange to get your previous dental records sent to us, to ensure good continuity of care.

Your initial consultation with us – what you get

For all new patients, the initial consultation includes:

  • A 1-hour, one-on-one consultation, with one of our experienced dentists. During this session, we take the time to understand your dental requirements and concerns. We collect vital information about yourself like medical history, social history and dental history etc.
  • Full base charting of all existing restorations and any missing teeth.
  • A thorough examination of your jaw joint (TMJ) and bite, soft tissues, teeth and gums, including 2 bitewing x-rays and any intra and extra-oral photography.
  • Additional x-ray imaging may be required like Panorex or CBCT scans.
  • Impressions for study models if required.
  • Feedback of risk assessment and clear explanation of any key observations or issues with supporting radiographs and photos.
  • Discussion and understanding of cause of issues and how to remedy and prevent it from happening again.
  • Discussion of tailored co-treatment options with predictable prognosis along with possible future treatments.

After the consultation we provide:

  • Presentation of detailed order of treatment and prioritising what procedure will be done at each subsequent appointment(s).
  • Time to answer any queries you may have.
  • Detailed estimate of costs including payment plans on offer which can be printed or emailed.
  • Scheduling any subsequent appointments.

On rare occasions if we run out of time, another appointment may be required to thoroughly continue the discussion.
